A friend of mine, introduced The Dresden Dolls to me last weekend. I heard a couple of their songs and proceeded to download their album(oops).
Well, all I can say is, Im bloody hooked on them now. Its amazing how a two piece band can sound so good. Thats right, this is only a two piece band, 1 drummer, 1 pianist(or rather keyboardist)+ vocals.
Noticed why I said pianist? thats cos she only uses the normal piano sounds for the songs, no fancy keyboard effects or anything. Just how good are they? take a look yourself, this video is one of my favourite song titled Half Jack. The drummer is f**king amazing! The only thing, stopping me from buying their live dvd now......is erm whether I have enough cash left still next month....arrrgh
Bands with roaring guitars solos with distortion effects? nah......give me a piano n a drum they sound so much nicer & melodious :P

I think Im blogging abit too much today......but then well, I just read the paper about how a great father used religion n with the help of his wives raped 5 of his teenage daughters.
This is atrocious..........If it were up to me, I would castrate the damn father who so greatly uses religion as a medium to allow him to exploit his daughters for sexual pleasures.
As taken from the straits times:

"The man's lawyer, Mr Harold Seet, denied that his client had been motivated by lust. He said the patriarch, who ran his own firm,was stressed out by having to provide for his large family. He concluded that having sex with his daughters to "satisfy" them, so they would be less likely to go with others, was the lesser of two evils, said the lawyer"
I do not want to be racist or anti-religion, I always believed religion are meant to be good n it is the people who practise them, gives religion a bad name. This is just another classic & extreme example, of how people exploit religion.
The wives are educated, but apparently they are foolish enough to believe their great husband's religious teachings.
I pity the children, some of them even had to go thru an abortion.
I don't pity the father, because Im sure when he goes to prison, he will have alot of retribution waiting for him.
All rapists should just be castrated,Period.

This is a very interesting video by a local band Tiet which I respect alot. Read the lyrics, its quite interesting tho maybe abit crude in some parts.
Ok, this will be very contradicting, I really shouldnt comment much about it, cos Im currently in such a competition. Yup, so erm......just listen to the song n use your imagination. Like what the vocalist said, keep an open mind.
